"I have learned that faith means trusting in advance what will only make sense in reverse."
~Phillip Yancey
As I wait for the promises of God in my life, I realize how very little control I have over them. Over the years God has plant msny dreams in my life. He promises that if we are faithful he will work all things to good for those who are called according to his purposes, and without a doubt I believe that. Looking back over the path I have walked He has always been faithful to fulfill the promises he's given me and bring to pass every one and more. The road does not always look like I thought it would, but when I look back I know that He always guided me down the right road.
I think back to a testimony spoken over me over a decade ago. One that God would take all the things that seemed not to fit together and he would make a beautiful quit out of all those pieces. I hold on to that every time I find myself questioning why, questioning the path set before me, but always clinging to the promise of my favorite scriptures....Jeremiah 29:11 and Proverbs 3:5-6.
I find myself again at a place in my life that to me seem like it makes no sense. Seems like I am waiting on God, trusting His ways are higher than my ways and knowing that after all is said and done, He will open the doors that need to be opened at the right time. God never forgets me and he knows the dream he has planted and the desires of my heart.
As a mom I would do anything to give my children the all the desires of the heart, and God loves us so much more than I can even fathom. (Still hard to comprehend at times). Even so, I never want God to give me the desire of my heart or fulfill the promises for my life prematurely. If it means waiting, that's what I will do. If it means walking blinding and knowing that each and every step I take is guided by the God who created the universe, and has my best interests at heart.
So, as I walk this journey I will walk it in full faith that God sees the outcome and his plan is ALWAYS better than mine. Walking with blind faith is not easy, neither is waiting for something, but I can do both with full confidence that where I will end up is right where I need to be!
